Getten Heads Saturday
Well after a long dry spell, I will finally get a pair of heads again. I am getting a set of used Edlebrocs. The guy ports heads for a living. He said the he has done a real good clean up on them, and that I will need to put a good set of spings on them, and get a good valve job done. I will also get the shaved .030. And I am going with a new cam. I hope for some solid 11s on the motor now. We'll just have to wait and see.
What are yall suggestions on a cam?

That's good to hear, Edelbrock makes a very good head, esp when ported, you should noticed a nice increase in power! ~Brian

I am wondering what cam to use with my new heads as well. I was gonna go with the E-cam but everyone said its not much better than the stocker.
I am thinking about a steeda #18

Hey 88workcar are you staying speed density?
You have told me before you had no problems staying S.D. with the cam and all. Dark, how is your drivability with those canfields? Do you have a stock S.D. CPU?

I had ported. polished and milled E7's on my car before I got the Canfields and had no problems. Get back with me on Monday and I should have some info.

yuo guys should look into the comp cams XE cores, or NX cores. A bit pricey but well worth it. I like the XE274HR.

Well I got them. The porting is nice. Only thing is that they are part #6025 which means a 2.02 intake valve. I am going to check PTV clearance before I do any thing else.
