They appear to have a gray top to me and that makes them a 14 lb/hr injector.

What car is that from? Ford has always used 19lb injectors in the mustang except for the cobras that used 24lb

The smallest V8 injector is the 19, there were no 14's, I'm pretty sure those are 36lbs. from a Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe, do they have one hole at the pintle or four, and describe the pintle area, for instance, are the hole(s) recessed or flush, etc.
Also include any numbers, letters or markings on the injector, there should be a micro number where the 12V plug in goes. 14's? ( laughing very hard! in fun though)

I thought the color code went
Orange = 19lb Light Blue = 24lb Red = 30lb Dark Blue = 36lb Lime Green = 42lb I guess I really don't know the rest, and that one looks yellow. I think Dan McClain's 83lb Accel injectors are yellow, but I have no clue about your yellow pintle cover injector. |

Your chart is correct.....with Mustangs. I have seen different colored injectors in different FORD products, like the Thunderbird and SHO. That yellow pintle cap is really throwing me, and the body on that injector pictured, is really big don't ya think.

I've seen grey ones in stock thunderbirds before. I was under the impression that they were 16 lbs.?

they used the grey one from 4- v8's on ford products from the mid 80's to the mid 90's. the escorts have them and so does the 5.0 town car. if you want 19lbs injectors, the came on the 5.0/5.8 FI F and E series trucks.

injector size
The tip has one hole in it...I tried them a long time ago on my '86 Speed Density motor and I had fuel dumping out of the pipes....so if they were 16 or 14# at one time, then they must have been recalibrated...I'll have to find a flow bench somewhere....thanks for the info!!

As in my previous post i thought they were "Big", i still say they are 36lbs. from a Super Coupe, an injector cannot be recalibrated as you stated, but they can be flowed to be within 2% of each other. (one of my 12 second bone stock tricks).

Thanks for backing me up Stang Runner. It's good to see someone else has seen smaller injectors than 19's. Just because the smallest injector that came in a mustang was a 19, does not make it the smallest injector made.

The one in the picture is a 14 lb/hr injector. They were used in nearly all non-Mustang, non-H.O., non-SEFI 5.0's, as well as a slew of V6's. Very common.
Take care, -Chris

Ask anyone with a box-body Crown Vic. That's a 14 lb/hr injector.

Calm down, I was replying to STANG RUNNER not you, I hope you guys figure this one out, opinion are like noses right, everyone's got one. My opinion is they are 36's from a T-bird Super Coupe, your are probably right though as many more Crown Vic's and non-H.O's around, but I always go with my instincts, and they tell me by that body shape of that injector it's a 36.
