Default MSD or CRANE

Hi, I need an ignition system for my 347 going in, the motor is mild and a daily driver with a NOS system (kit #5115) I already have a Crane Fireball coil and was planning on getting the Crane Hi-6 but wanted to know what you guys think between the Crane Hi-6 and the MSD box, just want some feedback on both?

I have used the MSD digital 6 on my 91 Mustang. It has a built in boost retard for nitrous, a 2 step rev-limiter, a high end rev limiter, and some other nice features. It was also seemed to be easier on the plugs then the MSD analog boxes.

MSD an Crane are both very reputable names. However, it has been discussed that Crane and Jacobs are both a little outdated as compared to MSD. All three have there goods and bads though.

I'm using the Mallory VI and it works great. It has all the features of the MSD digital 6 ( 2step, boost retard, start retard, Hi/Low switches for nitrous, etc... ) for about half the price.

Default Mallory 6AL

I have used the Mallory 6AL and after it left me sitting on the side of the road for the 2nd time in about 2 years, I didn't even bother to send it back for repair. I just bought a MSD 6AL and so learned from experience. The MSD has worked perfectly for about a year now.

Default Good choice

MSD is the front runner right now I think. Crane is top notch in quality as well, though I've never owned one. You would have done well with either choice IMHO.
