Post Eibach Drag Launch Springs

I really don't want that lowered look on my 83 convertible but would like some new good quality springs. Is the Eibach Drag Launch Springs the way to go to keep the stock height?

I am just the opposite of you. My car sits too high in the front when compared to the rear. Maybe we could do something once I get all my bugs straightened out. I have the Eibach set with 90/10 drag shocks. the shocks aren't bad but the springs are too high for me. They look stock but might be a little higher.

Cool

I got the Eibach d/l kit. It works great - and looks good too. It lowers the car slightly, maybe a 1/2" I'd say.....not enough to look ricer-ish!

I put mine on 2 weekends ago, along with 90/10 struts up front. I already had upper and lower control arms and adjustable shocks out back. The car looks to be the same height as the stock ones I just took off, but it's been almost 2 weeks now. When I first put them on, the front was noticeably higher than stock, but has settled now.

I agree with Mr. Stud OF The Month... It actally lowered my car a good 1" or so and even with no front accesories and alum everything it still sits even. I run 70/30's up front the 90/10's tend to keep the front end up to high on a light front ended car and that will give you more wind resitance. So unless you have a heavy 351 or big block or a ton of HP from your 302, in my opinion it is best to get the 70/30's.

I called summit and they told me that Eibach makes the FMS-m5300c springs for Ford. I got the 5330c because they don't lower the car as much.

HUH???? FMS 5300C springs are what I have and they are a cornering spring. They are specific rate (very stiff spring) and WILL lower your car at LEAST 1 1/2" in the front.

when i say 4 banger spings i mean get springs from a 4cly and put them in your car..the weight transfer in incrediable and the car looks sweet(front maybee sits 1/2" lower)..
the way the work is the rears are less of a sping rate witch causing them to "squat" more than the stock 8cly...the front 4cly work awsome cuz they have less of a spring rate but are longer than stock 8cly springs..what does this mean for you..more potential enery when sitting but as soon as you hit the gas it springs right up becasue of all the stored energy from the added engine weight

They advertise..... 1979-93 V8 cars approximately 7/8'' in front, 1/2'' in rear. I was reading some reviews and they all are different regarding height....some drop as much as 3 inches and some only drop a half inch. Why would this be?

I'm not sure why it would vary so much. But I do know mine dropped my car exactly 1 1/2" in the front from before and after measurements.

So, what we're saying glxstang is..........your car may ride higher or it may ride low enough for the rubber to rub in the wells LOL

No matter what you read about the FMS (FRPP now) springs they will not drop the rear at all unless you cut one coil from them. If you are looking for a drag suspension setup definately don't buy the Ford C springs. Either go with the 4 cylinder springs or go with the Eibach Drag springs. If you want a corner carver go with Eibach Sportlines, Pro kit, or Ford C springs. Otherwise keep the stock ones.
