The crank end of the rod (aka rod Bearing Housing size) should be between 2.239" and 2.398". Standard journal diameter is 2.123". Bearing thickness (aka Crown Wall thickness) varies depending on your rods, and I don't have the specific numbers, but if your bearing housing isn't out of round, subtract the journal diameter from the bearing housing size, subtract your desired clearance, and you're left with your desired crown wall thickness. If that size is unavailable, and your journal diameter is no less than 2.101, you can have the journal machined and use undersized bearings.
Hope this helps. Take care ~Chris ------------------ Retired Moderator MustangNet My site: JimPorterRacing RACECAR spelled backwards is RACECAR HEY !!! Are you ASE Certified ??? If you are, ask me about iATN. The best tool you'll ever have, and it's free !!! |
