question about slicks
What do racers usually mark their slicks with to determine if the rims are spinning inside the slick....paint...marker...?

Re: question about slicks
I painted a silver strip on them. You don't HAVE to have a 9 or 10 second car before the wheels start spinning in the slicks.
Last time out they felt like they were spinning a little and my 60' was a tenth more than usual. I just want to find out if the rims are spinning or I have traction problems now with this new converter. Is there a way to determine if slicks are getting worn down?

Quote:
My slicks usually stop hooking up and get cracked before I can wear them out. Trust me you are not spinning the rim inside the slick The more time you spend at the track the more you will see I am right.

Re: question about slicks
I have heard of a low 11 sec 393 stroked stang c4 4.56 grs, spun the rim just a hair off it's mark, Im pretty sure it would take a hard 1.4 60' to spin one though, with lots of torque and nitrous anything can give.
