Default What does it take....

What doest it take to get a stock 5.0L engine in a fox body hatchback to run <13's.....12's.......11's......and 10's> in the quater mile? A list of parts or mods would be incredable thanks guys.

Using a stock 5.0 engine, you would need to gut and strip your mustang to around 2500 lbs with driver (NOT EASY), and pull off some amazing 60 ft times to run low 13's.

Why would you want to keep your engine stock? You can pick up a decent amount of power with some simple bolt-ons.

13's all you need are gears and traction with a stock 5.0 maybe not even the gears

12's you need a few boltons

Sorry guys i mean i have the stock 5.0 now. I wanted to know what modifications and/or bolt ons would make it run into the 13,12,11,and 10's. And what is the most efficent for the most reasonable cost. Thanks guys

there are thousands of ways to go, What is the purpose of this car? Will it be a drag only car, highway cruiser, daily driver, etc?

This car will be drivin only in the summer in nice weather, it is to be a show car with the power to make any civic prelude celica or if i can supra eat my ass in a quater mile. I want at highest 11.9. If eventaully i can get it to 600+hp without the addition of a charger or turbo ill be thrilled.

If i could id like to get to 12 flat without a charger<which i do have sitting in my room> or nitrous. Is that a possablity with the 5.0 HO engine without intence modification by way of fabricating.
