Lower Intake
Is there a substantial differance in jumping from a stock 5.0 lower intake to a cobra or explorer lower intake?

i wouldnt say there is a substantial difference but it does flow a little better, on a stock motor you might gain 10hp. thats my guess.

Thanks. Can I assume that you will get a more noticeable gain from the same upgrade on the upper as opposed to the lower. I guess what I'm asking is, is it worth it to get that lower if I plan to get the matching upper later?

Intake
Are you aware that a Cobra lower will not match up with a stock upper and vice versa?
I just added an Edelbrock Performer upper and lower and it was a very nice improvement. Car pulls very well now especially on the highway!

I went from stock, to Cobra, to TFS Street.
I added the S-trim to the Cobra intake, and in 2002, I went with TFS heads/cam/intake... I personally am very satisfied with the TFS intake.
