Question Help identifying annoying interior piece !!

All right this may seem kinda odd. I am trying to find the metal/rubber seal that goes under the leather shifter boot and seals around the base of the shifter with 4 bolts. I am getting a lot of road noise b/c the rubber on mine is split. If you have a clue what I'm talking about, please let me know what it's called and where I can get one besides the Ford dealership. I am sure anyone who has installed a new shifter knows what I am talking about. Thanks for any help with this odd question!!!

thats a kinda hard to find piece. In my mustangs unlmited catalog (http://www.mustangsunlimited.com), they sell what they call the upper and lower shift boot, the 'lower' shift boot looks like its what you want, get their catalog and look on p88 in the lower right, give em a call and see if they can tell you more about it. Its $33 from them. May be cheeper to try a junkyard.

Lower boot is correct, I bought one from my local Ford dealer several years ago. I can't remember the exact price but I do remember I thought it was too much.

The $33 sounds like a good price though...
