Speedometer/TC lockup
Well my speedo cable is fine, and so is the gear...apparently the speedometer itself is shot. I'm not paying $1000 for a new gauge cluster..thats what every place I call wants. So I figure...
Would it be possible to yank the cable off the old speedometer and mount a new one from Summit to the dash and wire it up to work? Also..is there a way to force the Torque Converter into lockup? I know there was on my Camaro, and I really need to do it because with the speedometer out of commission, the Torque Converter won't go into lockup, which means that tranny's gonna be getting pretty hot. And with the 3.73 rear, I need all the gas mileage I can get.... Thanks everyone..wish me luck with all this crap!
