What Mod with new heads.......
Okay I just ordered my New GT40 P heads and I am limited financially, after getting my Lentech Tranny and the heads.I am trying to figure out within $500 what mods are the most important with my new heads. I was thinking Camshaft, but that will have to wait I am getting some awful quotes to install ($600-750, just in labor) so I was thinking either a Cobra or Trick flow intake $399, and a new 65mm Throttle body, and then when money rolled in (tax return) MAF sensor, 24#injectors, subframe connectors, 190 lph fuel pump. I want to do some under the body work, but I have no clue what is what to be very honest. Casters, struts, springs, control arms, except for the springs and shocks, I couldn't tell you what was what.
Tell me what you would do with the $500 to add to the heads. THank you. Kevin P.S is it difficult to change heads with a friends help? ------------------ 91 LX Convertible Gray on Red B&M Shift improver kit, March underdrive pulley's Richmond 3.73 gears, 1 5/8 Flowtech long tube Headers and off road h-pipe, Flowmaster 2-chamber cat-back with S.S exhaust, MSD 6A Ignition with coil,Cap and rotor, Taylor Pro wires, K&N 12" conical filter system, Jet stage 2 performance chip and Lentech Street Terminator plus on it's way...just ordered some new Red alum pulley's. Doing some big shopping of late, I will keep you posted. |

get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, a 155 or 190 fuel pump, and injectors. then get a new tb and maf later.

I'd get the cobra intake. And 1.7 roller rockers. Then when you get money do the tb, maf, injectors, and fuel pump. The reasoning, you can run the stock cam and the 1.7's then not worry about a cam change. Then the tb and stuff won't be anything to put on once you've already done it before. Also you'll be alright with the stock 19 lb injectors but it'll be nice to have 24's if you want to upgrade later on. As for suspension subframes , strut tower brace and k-member brace will tighten things up nicely. Then throw in some springs, shocks\struts, and some lower control arms and the thing will handle real well. Just my $.02

See if you can get porting done for 500 dollars because once you put the heads on the car you probably wont ever have it done after that and head porting does make a difference (especially on the exhaust side).
