Valve covers clearing intake
While the engine is apart, I figure I might as well throw a set of Edelbrock Elite signature valvecovers on it to advertise my heads. My only question is, they're tall valvecovers...will they clear my cobra intake, or do I need to buy a phenolic spacer? Thanks.

You will need a spacer. I have a 3/8 of an inch spacer on mine because of clearance issues and I dont have tall valve covers.
I bet you will need the 1 inch spacer. I got one too bad you are not local.

I wasn't being pushy with the double post. I think I just refreshed and posted again or something...
Sorry about that. DO you know how much clearance there is from the explorer intake to the bottom of the hood, all else being equal? I measured the valve covers and found that while the bottom side is at about 4 inches tall just like stock, the top part is about two inches taller than the stock valve covers. I will definitely need the spacer. pm me or email me to work out the details. Thanks
