Default new 331 is in...

Breaking it in now...I've been driving it @4500 rpm in 3-4 gear to seat the rings...
16 btdc seems to work too...

I want to break this one in right...recommendations appreciated...

Figured out the old problem, broken oil ring on number 5, and a busted valve spring on number 6.

Can you say "blower"?

Running solid after 150 miles...first oil change after another 50 and valve adjustment.
Then, it's off to the dyno!
Hoping for 320 rwhp in 96 degree/90 plus humidity weather...we'll see.

I am glad you finally figured out the number 5 cylinder problems. Maybe a little less boost on the new 331
