Default Striped bolt hole in Tchain cover? how to fix??

there are four bolt holes in the bottom of the Tchain cover for the oil pan..two are the larger size and the other two are the normal sized bolts...one of the smaller normal sized bolt holes is striped...can i retap this or?? how should i go about fixing it?

Yeah you can retap. the hole is originally 1/4 in, you might have to go to 5/16. be careful the cover is very weak alumium

you can always take it somewhere and have them throw in a heli-coil, or do it youself.

You can buy heli-coil kits at any good parts store and do it yourself - kit contains tap and helicoils - all you need is the right size drill.
