Question changed tb now high idle

i put a accufab 65 mm on and now the cars idles between 1000 and 1500. I had to fab up a gasket for the tb to egr so im not real sure if it tore letting in air or if the cable on the out side bottom of the tb is too tight holding the butterfly open alittle. oh yeh the cars an 88 so its N.A. can anyone help?

Check the throttle stop screw to see if it's holding the throttle butterfly partially open. Also check the tps voltage.

Is this a used tb? If so did anyone drill a hole in the throttle plate? Also make sure you check throttle stop screw (the most likely culprit). Also make sure the mechanical linkage is not hanging up on anything.

i bought the tb from a guy i know. already checked the screw. i dont remember seeing a hole in the throttle plate, is there sposta be one? Im not sure if the linkage is hanging up or if i may have got the tention too tight when i pryed it off or something.

There is not suppose to be a hole but some drill one for big mod cars to allow enough air at idle. Also if your TPS is off it can cause problems too.
