Default Strut Tower Brace with 1" Spacer?

Hey Guys

I've got an Explorer Intake with a 1" Spacer. I have to keep the spacer for valve cover clearence. I really want to order a Strut Tower Brace... but I'm wondering if it will fit. I have to have a Cowl hood as it is. The Explorer intake is tall enough save the spacer. Does the Strut tower brace fit around or above the stock intake?

I'm hoping I can get one cause it would go great with my subframe connectors and cobra R's as far as handling. Thanks!!!

I run an explorer with a 1'' spacer too and a cervini cobra R hood. I got one of those cheap strut tower braces off ebay I think like 40 or 50 bucks. Didnt want to spend the money for a real good one if it didnt fit. Anyway I got it to fit by fabbing up some small spacers for the strut towers to the ends of the brace. 1/2 or 3/4 spacer but I still had to bend an indent in the brace pipe by the driver side rear of the intake and by the EGR. Also had to bend the ends of the brace at the strut tower to get the hood to close I think it was like 1'' to 2'' on each end turned out ok and it looks good hope this helps

Check out the Maximum Motorsports brace. It goes around the back of the intake instead of over.
