Question checking TPS?

how do i do it for a 91GT 5.0?

i'm having a problem w/ the idle sticking at 2000 periodically when its cold outside (whether or not the engine is warmed up)

its really easy...youll need a digital voltometer though. dang, i cant think of what colored wires to tap into(youll be able to tell if you arent taping the right ones), but there is a tech article somewhere on this site with more info. you should set it to .98 +/- .02 you should check with the key on and engine off. also it should read 5.0volts at wot. to adjust it, just move it forward or backwards, you might need to get a rat-file to enlarge the holes enough to get it adjusted where it needs to be. good luck, nick

In addition to what Nicks5.0 said, after you set it you may want to disconnct the battery to let the computer reset itself. If you still have the sticking idle after TPS adjustment you might try cleaning the Idle Air Bypass(clinder thing on front of the TB) and cleaning the 10 pin connectors on the back of the intake, I had the same problem myself and cleaning off those connectors with electrical cleaner fixed it.
