Which differential do you guy's prefer?
I drive mostly on the street so no lockers.
Should I just keep paying my machanic $30 to repack clutches in stock trac-loc? I've heard clutches for a cobra last longer, true? What year? $500 is a lot to pay for a good differential, but I may need to get axles soon and will have to get 28 spline if I stay stock. Suggestions??

Re: Which differential do you guy's prefer?
I suggest Eaton. I know a guy that has gone through TWO Auburns, and they won't help him at all, lousy customer service he told me...Just MHO........I also know three guys running 9's with the stock diff, just pack extra clutches in real tight...

Re: Which differential do you guy's prefer?
I've never rebuilt one myself, I told the guy who does it for me about putting one or two old clutches back in with the new ones, and he said he'd never heard of that trick and said he didn't have enough room for more??
How long can I expect a freshly rebuilt one (no extra clutches) to last with pretty hard launches?

Re: Which differential do you guy's prefer?
With your setup, I would imagine you would be fine for a while, when your pulling 1.5 or faster 60fts, might be safe to go with something stronger.

Re: Which differential do you guy's prefer?
Can you get the carbon fiber clutches in 28 spline?
