Anyone running a supercharger with the Systemax kit?
Just curious if anyone has any input about a supercharger on the systemax kit, my friend is looking to get a head/ intake combo for his supercharged car, but he doesnt want all out race heads, for the price he was really looking at the holley kit, thanks guys in advance

My buddy has the "old" holley systemax II kit on his coupe with a twin turbo setup... the car has gone high 10's at 122mph.

thats impressive thats for sure, my buddy has been trying to decide on the holley systemax kit, or the edelbrock rpm intake, heads etc. I hear that the supplied cam for the systemax doesnt produce power as well as some other cams, is there another cam anyone else is using getting better results?? N/A or supercharger either way. I think hes looking for driveability and streetability, not an all out race motor.

Well, I only know of two people running the holley kit with different cams, one is my dad and the other is "RICK91GT" on here and other boards. My dad's is on the wild side... over .560" lift and 232* intake duration at .050"... no times yet, its getting dyno tuned tomorrow so we can raise the rev limiter, we have to short shift it now, but we're shooting for 11's. Rick is running an Anderson can, the N-61 (I think, maybe a N-62?) and he has run in the 11's on it... its on the wild side too. Holley has a new cam in the kit, the old one had a 107* lobe sep, the new one is 112*.

My dad went 12.6 at 107 with the untouched holley kit with the 107* cam on ET streets and 3.73 gears in his 91GT BTW.

The kit will be great for a blower, I would suggest getting either the 50 state legal kit cam (MUST REQUEST THIS) or better yet get a custom cam, it can be much more aggresive make a ton more power with out giving up too much street ability. My cam is pretty healthy, like Mike's mine is over .540 intake over .560 exh and duration in the 236 range..but it drives very nice on the street, better if I have the lower 4:30 gears it was ground for.
I have been a best of 11.90 @ 115.8 NA, I feel it has 117mph in it with good weather. On the N2O it has been 11.28 @ 125.8mph and I think with some good cool air 128-130mph isn't out of the question with nice 10 sec ET's..just need a little more traction. For the $$$ I feel you can't beat the kit, I can't complain I have a low compression stock bottom end 11 sec 302! Check out my site for more details and pic's.

Hey Rick, How much E.T. did you pick up when you when from the open K&N filter to the stock airbox?
I have a C&L and 9 inch K&N. I want to make a shield out of plastic to deflect some heat and give the MAF sensor a better reading. Any suggestions? Now you need to get rid of the "no bottle" part in your avator

I'd run the stock box as ugly as it is...I am getting ready to get a plastic 80mm Pro-M and make my own PP like AFM sells. Quote:

I have th Systemax intake with TFS heads, an E-303 cam, and a Novi 1000. It runs pretty strong, and can be easily daily driven on street tires.
