Default Is a mulit-spark ignition box worth any power?

I'm thinking of buying a multi-spark ignition box to go with my mallory dizzy? Is there any extra power to be had by using one of these?

Yeppers! Allows the engine to burn the fuel more thouroughly, more efficiently, thus creating more power.

That, and if you get an MSD (Not sure how the Mallory's work, but I bet it's the same) You get a built in rev limiter, and can add a 2 step, window switch, RPM activation switch, and a host of other neato goodies.

Mallory box is cheaper and works as well as MSD and comes with a built in adjusable rev limiter.

I had to replace my Mallory 6AL with an MSD 6AL. The Mallory failed twice leaving me sitting on the side of the road. Sent it back once for repair under warranty. After the second failure, I didn't even have the desire to try to sell it to anyone. No problems since switching to the MSD. Personally, I'll never buy anything Mallory ever again.

I have the MSD6AL in the 91 coupe and the Crane (PS9 I think) in the 88 which also has the built in rev limiter. I had a MSD BTM fail on me once in a S/C stang, it was out of warranty and MSD still fixed it for free. MSD gets my vote.

MSD & Crane are both great companies. I had a friend with an '85 have a bunch of problems with his Mallory ignition. I have a Crane HI-6 frieball ignition with the adjustable rev limiter & the Crane PS91 coil. The box was very easy to install too. Crane gets my vote.

I had the Crane HI-6 fireball ignition and coil. The box failed within 6 months and the coil failed shortly after.

I guess all products have there problems.
