Default What Cam?

I have a 93 lx stang with the 4 banger and im puttin a 5.0 in it with a 5-speed. I want to put a cam in it before i drop it in and i was wondering what cam everyone recommends. I want it to lope BIG TIME, i need to know what lift, duration, etc. What will i need to change to accomplish this? The motor is completly stock now. I will be running shorty headers and 3 inch flows. Does anyone know what I need?
Thanks

Its already in there for you man. The stock cam is actually a great cam for a stock to near stock motor. If you really want the lopey idle, you can put whatever you want in it, but your gonna hurt your performance.

notchjohnson nice car man, what cam do you run stock? i see in your sig you have ported gt-40's, that is what i have sitting in my room right now, they also have 3 angle valve job and a little milling, i want to throw them on as is, but know im gonna wish i put in a cam, how does yours run with the stock cam?
how much improvement did the gt-40's give you thanx.

back to the original subject, the b-cam lopes pretty good, but like mentioned, stock heads will not allow any performance from the cam, just the sound if thats what your looking for only, and upgrade heads later.

Thanks Coupe50h, yeah I am only running the stock cam. I added the heads and intake at the same time, and the car pulls much higher. It sucks having that aod behind it though. I hit it and its not that great off thge line, but when it revs up to 3k its like a kick in the ***, the motor just revs up to 6k in no time.
