Post JUICE??????????

I was just wondering if anybody has

Compucars "nitrous in a bag"?

Or if anybody has any info on it, like how
good does it work, or if it's even worth
buying?

my buddy has it on his lightening....
Yes, worth buying...
Simple to install(1/2 hour tops)
Not as consistent as a regular kit.
You just set it in the back seat, plug it into the cigarette lighter, run a plastic
line through to the engine compartment(hardest part)
then connect that to steel and slip under the hose clamp on the intake tract .
To spray it you press a hand-held button, to stop , let go
It's neat cause you can switch car to car in minutes, but the whole line evaporates, so it doesn't hit real hard at first.

I don't have it but it looks dangerous as hell. First of all, I just can't get over how they can expect you to mount any nitrous canister inside the passenger compartment. That's so insane. Second, with that ease of installation comes the absence of just about any safety features. I've always considered things like remote bottle openers, bottle heaters, and safety discs standard options for any nitrous kit.

It's around $350...i've seen it lots of mail order pages in the stang mags(near the front..the big ones)
84_GT350????A bottle heater and remote valve have absolutly nothing to do w/ safety??
And what the heck is a safety disc???
The selonoids mount right on the bottle.
The worst thing that could happen is the plastic line would break...So don't spray it then. Nitrous is not a flammable gas, so what danger is there??
Every GT or LX hatch actually has the bottle mounted inside the vehicle..I just don't get your belief in the "insaneness" of this kit???

This sounds like a good kit for me. How does it hook up to the car?? Will it work since I have a carb? How much power does it give you

As far as the NHRA is concerned, you can sit on the tank as long as there is a blow-down tube and the tank is secured properly.

that's what they told me, anyway.

NosNotch, when you say "then connect that to steel and slip under the hose clamp on the intake tract", what steel are you talking about?

89lxcarb.....won't work.
It's designed to spray in b4 the mass air meter to allow for fuel adjustment.
But the sniper kit for carbs is only $350

fiveohpatrol....The line coming off the selonoids is plastic, it's like that all the way to engine compartment.
For about the last foot, they give you a steel line(like brake line)
You connect the two together w/ a compression fitting.
Reason for the switch is because you slip it under the hose clamp by the air box and tighten it to hold it(the plastic would collapse) No lie....my buddy got this kit at WFC2 and we put it on his lightening between rounds. It is mostly stock (pulleys and exhaust maybe) and it goes 12's on street tires. that night we smoked some LS1's
The kit is not too consistent but pretty fun.
I wanted to borrow it and put it on my wifes
leased cherokee for fun

The issue is January 1997....there is an LX doing a crazy wheel stand on it.
This also has a great tech article on AOD to T-5....step by step and parts...
I was going to scan and e-mail but it's like 4 or 5 pages

Where can I go to see this article besides the issue from 97. I dont really have issues dating back that far. Can someone point me to a website or scan the pages for me?

Yeah, it comes with a 10lb bottle.
Also, I can't believe how easy it was to install!

I am very interested in this, does anyone else have any more info, this is the frist I have seen of this post. Is there a web site to find more info on this kit? I am thinking it is just what I was looking for with my new GT40 P heads and Cobra/Trick Flow intake.
Should you use a guage or anything like this for some sort of protection? Thanks

Couldn't I run the line into my air cleaner under the lid and spray it down into the carb?
