Best bang for the buck would be, (at least in my opionion) AFR 205. (For right now) Or if you want the best head for NOW and LATER (room to grow) would be the TFS-R!!!!!
Just use the TFS-R out of the box with no modifications for your engine now. I don't believe they will make as much as the AFR 205 at first but they're won't be any comparing them later when you port the TFS-R heads. The ultimate head would be the Edelbrock Victor SR. but that is a race head right out of the box, which sounds like what you don't want. I am using the TFS heads with mild work on my 420 cubic inch engine and love them!!!! (street car on pump gas)

If you want a good set of heads, I have a set of canfield heads I will sell.
I want to go with a set of ported vic sr. heads.
If you are interested, email me.
I have over 3000 in them and they have not been bolted up the motor yet.

Over $1200 in porting by brent frazier.
