naturally intercooled

My question is would a intercooler work wellon my naturally aspirated 93 cobra. I work for a body shop where I picked up a intercooler from a audi and its in perfect shape. would this have any positive affect on my car or would this be a negitive. By having this intercooler I saved arround 450 dollars , not a bad fine.

I honestly don't see what good it'd do on a naturally aspirated car. I mean...how would the air get forced into the intake? The intake air velocity would be next to nothing by the time it got through the intercooler. That's the idea behind fenderwell kits and ram air. It provides a straight shot at the intake (while also drawing cooler air) to increase the amount of air you can cram in your engine. Even with a ram air kit to force the air in it'd be pretty useless. Not a bad idea though...possibly with some refinement it could be done.

I agree with the above post. With the intercooler you would make less power b/c the motor has to work that much harder to get the air it needs.

The whole point in an cooler is to cool down the forced air. Thus making more air fit in the same amout of space. Without the forced induction system it will be of no use. With a tubro one can usually squeez out a little more boost with the innercooler.
