Default Summit Racing ... call it like it is !

I ordered one of their aluminum radiators before Christmas. It arrived before Christmas, even though i was late getting it ordered. When my son opened it, it was bent on one side, and there were marks on the bottom of the box .... because of some pressing family issues it got put on the bottom of the priority list and stayed in the garage for about 3 weeks.
I called Summit last week about it, and the girl said, "did it look like shipping damage?" I said probably but not totally sure. She said well you've had it so long we can't claim it as shipping damage. I apologized and she said thats ok, we'll eat it this time, but next time if you suspect shipping damage call right away. She then said put the old one out, i'll have it picked up, and in the mean time i'll ship another one out so you'll have it right away.
UPS picked up the old one 2 days later, the new one arrived the morning after that !
I didn't pay a dime ... didn't even have to go to the post office ... folks, customer service just don't get much better than that !!

We all ***** and moan when these companies do us wrong, so i thought i'd delve out a little praise for someone doing something right !!

I have always had a good experience with Summit to, but what happened to you is even better than what you would expect.

That is awesome customer service.

Haven't had to return anything but almost every thing I've ordered showed up the next day. Out of about $5k in parts only about 5% got backordered and took a week.

Summit is great and only 1.5 hours away and the retail store is just fun to visit. Always great service on the phone or in person. I live 30 minutes from Jegs and a totally opposite business. I always need to assist them to give me the correct part and if they get it from the warehouse delivered to a store for pickup they have never got me the correct part when promised. I ordered my Welds rims 3 times before they shipped the correct boxes. They sent the warehouse the correct part numbers they just shipped the wrong boxes each time to the store location. I even needed Autometer gauges the common ones and they did not have it in the store so the warehouse needed twice to get it correct. I guess the thing that just ticks me off, the sales person will call me and tell me the parts are in then I ask are they correct they say yes they checked and the parts will be wrong not even the correct part number to what is on the invoice. I will either drive to Summit or call before 4pm and I will have it to my house the following day around 5pm when UPS makes his daily delivery to me.

I had the same experience with summit racing, when i ordered my trick flow intake, the upper intake gasket was broken in 1/2, and they said they didn't have only one gasket to ship, so they sent me a pack of 5 or so for free! I try to buy from summit whenever possible.

I've always had good experiences with Summit too, only problem is that I'm in Canada so I get screwed by UPS's brokerage fees I now get stuff sent to a border town and then go pick it up myself.

I have allways had good luck with summit. Called them to check if they had a certain weld wheel in stock, they said yes so I drove 1 1/4 hours over there to find out the computer was wrong and Summit didn't have them. So they knocked $20 a wheel off the price and air freighted 2 wheels from the Nevada store to my house. Allways great on returns too.

I've been dealing with Summit for almost 10 years, great customer service, fast shipping, and a knowledgable staff. As long as I'm ordering aftermarket parts, they will continue to get my business.
