Porting Stock Top End
I was thinking about redoing my top end and i was wondering if it would be worth it to port my stock heads and intake instead of going out and buying a nice set. I know I won't get the same performance out of the stock heads ported but the idea of free horsepower catches my attenion. So more or less just wonder if I can get descent results out of stock ported heads or if it is just a waste of time.

Porting alone doesnt do much for stock E7 heads.
I got mine milled 40 thousanths. bowls blended. trick flow springs and ported and polished and I knocked off 3 or 4 tenths in the 1/4 This was with a GT-40 intake though not a stock one.

What can it hurt? - the price is right! Paste the link in my signature for results from properly porting the stock lower intake. My basic intake porting guide can be found at:
