Default strange adj. shocks and struts

2.1 60 fts with nitto dr's have to go. anybody use these. they look strikingly similar to the QA1 and i don't have a grand to drop. i'm looking at the strange adj shock and strut through summit. the set is like 400 bucks. any opinions.

Yeah I have an opinion. Get two stock rims and mount some slicks on them for track use. Dump the clutch at 5000 rpms and watch LS1's fade into the rear view mirror.

My 1990 coupe had granatelli upper and lower control arms, stock springs and shocks and no front sway bar and pulled 1.60 60fts all day long,

I would also evaluate the health of your trac loc and make sure you are not getting the one wheel peel.

Shocks and struts will help a little but they won't give you what your looking for. Practice your launches more and there are a lot of things to take in consideration as well, burnout, age of the tires, temp of the track, RPM of launch....Is this an auto or manual? Are you using a trans brake, is your torque convertor right and what Dark said, be sure your diff is performing as it should. Check all your bushings on the control arms for tears. IMHO, the Nittos are not as soft as the BFG's or M/T's, but because of this, they last longer. A softer compound tire will ensure higher RPM launches are on the menu.

my trac lok is bipolar, Half works sometimes and doesn't work the other half of the time. Any suggestions on how hard it is to rebuild. If i were to replace it with a truetrac or something aftermarket would i be able to get away with just bolting it in. I hate anything to do with rear gears.

Back when i was runniing the 28 spline stuff I installed this trac loc rebuild kit and was very happy with it.

My car launched straight and hard, I got consistant 1.59-1.62 60ft times.

It had hundreds of passes on it when I upgraded to 31 spine stuff and was still working flawlessly.

The carbon fiber clutch pack is a huge upgrade!!!!
