Fuel pump will not come on. Help:)
When I turn the key on the fuel pump will not cycle. If I jump out the fuel pump relay, the pump works. I do not get any voltage to the switching side of the relay. I pulled loose plenty of stuff while preping to paint. I think that I have every thing connected. Every thing else in the car works. Thanks Jason

Did you try replacing the relay? It might have gone bad. Try that and post what happens, and if that isn't it we can go from there.

There are a couple simple things you can check. The fuel system should prime when you cycle the key, since it's not the fuel pump relay is activated by the eec power relay whihc gets it ground from the wire coming off the negetive battery cable so if it not connected or dirty can cause the pump not run. I would also check all grounds since you did this to paint the engine area, gounds are the most likely suspect I think

This happened to me before, it turned out that my inertia switch somehow got tripped. Maybe from slamming the trunk lid or loud exhaust.

well thier are 4 wires going to the fp relay..one to the pump..one from the eec power relay(turns on when key goes foward)..one from the computer(acts as a ground path to turn off and on the FP)..and the last comes from the starter solonoid(allways on+)..i will post what wire is what when i get home
