aftermarket heads
Hey guys,
I am going to be going with an E-cam and i am curious what your experiences have been with the different aftermarket heads. I am not looking for anything wild, just a nice upgrade. Also, what are the drawbacks you have found with these different heads, like warping from too much heat and that type of thing. Thanks |

Re: aftermarket heads
I just put a set of AFRs on my 95. I will have dyno numbers later today and track numbers Friday night (although the track numbers will be skewed because I also added a water/methanol injection kit to cool my blower output). Everything I have heard about the AFR heads is good. But, you will probably get similar responses about a lot of different heads. I'll post some numbers this afternoon when they dyno it with just the heads and headers.

Re: aftermarket heads
afr's, trickflow and edelbrocks are the heads you will hear most about. there are other but those 3 are the ones that get mentioned most.

Re: aftermarket heads
I'm running a set of prototype Canfield heads right now. Actually, I believe they're available on the market now, it's been a few months since I had them.
Anyways, wouldn't sell them for $50,000! You don't have to get as radical as these are, but anything Canfield sells is top notch quality and design.

Re: aftermarket heads
Just purchased a set of Canfield's and sent them out to PBF to be ported. Have to pick them up tomarrow. Can't wait to see them and get them on the car.
