Default Injector problems

Is there a way I can check my injector flow with my upper intake off, cause I have a few leaky injectors on the driver side, the very front one on the driver side is the worst it just spits fuel out the bottom of it where it goes into the lower manifold , I did the rebuild kit twice so far installing all new o-rings and that didnt work so this time i wanna check it before I put everything back together so im askin if theres anyway to test the injectors on the rail with the upper intake off or just test the injector itself. I dont wanna buy new ones cause my new motor will be installed soon and it has all new 24#ers.

I am not sure how it is done, but the dealership did mine several years ago.

They charged me an hour's worth of labor to pull my codes and they gave me a print out of the flow on each injector. I am not sure how they did it, but to only charge me for an hour, it must not be too big of a deal. This may not help you in your garage right now, but maybe someone knows how it is done .

I just wanna see if theres fuel gettin injected into my motor from that injector, just want a way to test it or really give it a good cleaning cause I did the soaking in gas and the carb cleaner but nothing i was thinking to do the 9v battery trick 2 see if that works.

The inj leakdown test is done by hooking up a fuel pressure gauge and cycling each inj for a certain amount of time and holding it. By watching the fuel pressure gauge fall you can tell which each one is taking and losing or dropping down the intake uncontrolled. At the ford garages they have a test built into to there diagnostic computer to do this. Known as SBDS and WDS. Its pretty neat. The downfall is that if all your inj are bad then they will all show up good because it goes off of an average.

Thanks mustangman4! I had always wondered how it was done there.
