Post Smog pump seezed on me!

Now I have the initiative to get rid of the pump, so what size belt do i need and what are my options on pluging up all holes (i.e. my offroad h-pipe, and pipes that go behind my heads)?

Thanks,
Leo

Leo, mine seized up on me on vacation last year of all places. Then this past month that new one went bad too. I'd thought about doing the same thing you are talking about by bypassing it, but a new pump only cost me $36 from Autozone. I looked in to a delete kit and it was like $79. I'm not sure what size belt you would need to bypass it completely, but I would think that you could just leave the old pump on and not worry about plugging any holes. Not sure though.

The same thing happened to me, so what I did was gut it out. Where I live it is not unusual for a cop to pull you over and ask you to lift up your hood. So to avoid tickets I gutted it, so now its basically just a pulley spinning and I can use the stock belt size.

Well, I thought about hollowing it out but f#ck it, its just added weight. So back to my original question... does anyone know what belt size I will need?? I will eventually be getting pullies so I will need a very tight fit.

Thanks,
leo

You can just crimp the end of the pipe going to the h-pipe and weld it to seal.
The y-pipe(on back of heads)
can be plugged w/ the thermactor plugs from ford....$5/for the pair
Or cut the ends off the pipe, flip them around, and end-for-end them.
I relocated my power steering to where the a/c used to be, so my belt size would be different...but if you want that size e-mail me.
