Some a**hole purposely hit my ride! (long)

I'm on my way to martial arts training. I'm at an intersection, when a family of three walks in front of my 94 Lightning. The father slaps my hood and gestures like I'm too far forward. Then I get mad and start cussing at him, finishing with the proverbial "thought you'd walk away you son-of-a-b****.

For a moment, I thought was going to chase the SOB down and confront him some more. I guess the moral of the story is don't be touchin the other guy's ride.

I work in insurance......dealing exclusively
with fraudulent accidents. Don't be too surprised if he puts a claim in saying you hit him. I see it ALL the time. People do that sort of $hit. I hope in your case they don't, cause it's one BIG headache!

i would probably flipped and went to confront him.....i would not have hit him but if he makes a fraudulent claim then i would go find him and give hima reason to make a claim......and then i would hit his car and make a gesture with my finger at him =)

That is horrible i hate it when ppl touch my car. Let alone hit it or something like that. Why do ppl have to be such jerks.

I feel it's too much rage between drivers and people
walking. Yeah I know it's wrong to hit some ones ride for any reason, but also the driver needs to keep a cool head too.
I know if it was me- as long as there was no damage to the car, I could care less- yes I would havr said something but no cussing- because that gets people even madder. Because getting up-set causes way to much stress and blood-pressure.
Plus you do not know what may resolve from chaseing people down, like weapons and road rage (if they ever get to their car).

How hard did he slap the car?

*SIDE NOTE* I think the reason why I try and keep my cool when driveing is because I'm a rash person-
and I know if I get upset it's going to be a showdown. I get mad when people just say something or blow their horn at you.
I was not even driving when this happened. We were in an intersection and the light was changing and people were driving slow infront of us, and we where trying to move out before the light lets the other people go. But it changed anyway, and this jerk in a truck started blowing at us as we were turning. I was mad- I would have chased him down and asked what's the problem with acting like an ****** . There is no need for that, not when we are trying to get out of your way.
Then THIS just happened, in another intersection (I was not driving this time either). And we were turning and this girl went around us yelling
"Get out the way jacka**."
I wanted to yell back
"Take your a** up the street b****!" But I sat soundless. When I'm drivingI just tune people out, because it's not need for all that stupid s***.

i know how you feel man. Once, while i picked up my brother these guys came up in 2 cars and started cursing us out. he was pissed that when i was driing down his street fast, he tried to block me with his car and we almost hit. when him and 7 of his friends were done cursing one of them kicked my car as hard as he could. i wasn't driving my stang, but it still pissed me off. i felt like kicking his *ss but i was outnumbered 3 to 1.

(P.S.) nothing happened to my 88 Volvo. it's a tank

man at my school ther is a lot of throwin stuff out of the back of pickups at peoples windsheild.......the first time that happens i am goin to show them that i don't carry the tire iron to change tires=)......then i willm plead not guilty and say i was provoked....i don't ccare if u wanna **** up ur own cars but don't **** up the one i have workedf my *** off for tyhe olast couple years to buy

I'd have to say you handled the situation pretty well in my eyes. Alot of people do not realize how much a car means to them. I bet you later on he figured out that you didn't appreciate it and how stupid that was of him. Hopefully he wont go around doing that **** anymore.

I was not in my car at the time I was leting my dad drive and It was rear ended and I ran up and start to look at the car with the guy in the ditch and I was looking at my car before I found If the guy would live he was on a Bike the cops were there. Well I ended up haveing to repaint the whole car!

One time I was in the Arby's drive through a couple years ago (in my 85 Astrovan), there was a blue chevette in front of me. He wouldn't move up after he ordered his food so I started revving it up. He pulled up a little then backed up towards me. Then he pulled up some more. I started getting pissed. Then he backs up again, but wait he didn't stop that time, he backed into the front corner of my van. Then he took off out of the drivethrough line, so I took of after him. It was raining, so I burned out a little then I stalled. This was when my egr started going bad, my car would stall easily. It's probably better it stalled, I had every intent of running him off the road. I'm getting pissed just thinking about it. If I ever saw that guys car again I'd punch in every panel on it.

I say go for the rule: eye for an eye
Go up and slap him like he slapped your car and say, "b/tch, don't be touching my baby like that!".
My opinion is that you just don't hit someone's car or their family (which sometimes is both).
People like that are stupid, and they'll be stupid no matter where they are or what they do.
