Looking for used 7.5" 3.73's...
Was wondering where the best place to look would be...tried local salvage yards, MPS, and a couple "auction blocks" online with no luck. I know the gears im looking for came in '87-'93 4cyl cars so i figured there would be a bunch available but im finding out otherwise. Any help would be much appreciated as to where/who to contact to find a set (pref with good trac-lock but can do without). Thanks in advance.

Not sure about finding used ones, but for the money you will pay for the install, you might as well get new gears so you know they will last a long time. I believe I have seen the 7.5" 3.73 ring and pinion in either the Jeg's or Summit catalog.
My 79 Pace Car had a 7.5" rear with 2.47's stock. I went to the junkyard and picked up an 8.8" out of a '91LX with 3.08's for $100 and am going to buy some new gears for it. |

Email this guy and ask him if he still has the 3:73 gears for the 7.5 rear. I traded these with him for other parts he had. They were brand new. His name is Scott Leech, his email is :mustangz@jdweb.com
I hope this helps you. ------------------ '82 GT 351W,BBK shorties, Comp Cam,edelbrock intake 625 cfm carter carb. c-4 tranny w/ pro stick shifter. 4 core radiator Mallory distributor. 3:27 ......................... |
