Post T-5 Bearing Retainer

I already have my t-5 out since i'm changing my clutch and was wondering if I should get a steel bearing retainer for my trans. What would be the advantage of this??

Yes I would since you already have the trans out. the steel wont wear as much and the stock one is more prone to fail

visuak inspection of the old retainer should tell..usual symtoms are frequent replacement of trwoout bearings or more pedal pressure than usual cuz the throwout cant slide as well on it
