Question Battery question on 94 GT

Hey guys, quick question on my battery.

My car seems to crank really slow as it gets colder outside (Temperature). I started thinking I may have a weak battery. What are the 'better' batteries and what's a good cold crank amp?

Thanks for your help - and Happy New Year to you all!

Take it to any place that sells batteries and have them do a load test. That should answer your question>

My next battery will be from Sears. The one with the remote power cut-off. They sell for about $100, but also a good preventative from theft of the car.

The new DieHard Security battery is excellent but pricy at $170. A Diehard Gold North is about $80.
You can get a Sears Weather Handler for about $60.

The stock 5.0 CCA (Cold Cranking Amperage) is 540 but look for something over that - the higher the better. The Diehard Gold is 610 CCA. Not bad.

I now have an Optima 800 CCA gel battery and it's performed beautifully over the past three years.
Expensive at $140. but you get what you pay for.
