Quick advice on running 99 GT, tuner questions
Im going to run a 99 GT wed at the track for a harmless amount of money, i met the guy in another town south of austin at a streetrace meet, we were the first to come to a stop sign, i waited for him to stop then i rolled out and floored it, (me having a passenger about 240lbs)he didnt do anything, until i hit 2nd and let off, he decides to flybye, but he pulled me good, i couldnt catch up.
so we park and my friend tells him to open his hood, he said bone stock, and previous owner took the blower off? my friend said it looked like pullies, but i couldnt tell, so i say lets go again from a stop...he jumps in and goes for it, this time he has a passenger with a video cam, i honk 3 times and we were off, i hooked up great(love those subframes) and pulled him hard and kept a car on him all the way to 118-120 he couldnt pull. We park ,and he says he forgot his traction control was on, but cops came and we never had another chance to run, but i chat with him online and we have a race setup at the track. sorry so long, but i wanted to ask windsor guys only, but he said he will be on e.t. streets, and im gonna have to borrow some from my friend, any tips? i never ran stickies, should i bump timing to 16? its at 12, what rpm to launch from on 26x10.50's? im also throwing on a crank pulley 25%......thnx

Launch at whatever you dare on those tires. If you run those, you're gonna kill him so bad out of the hole, it's just not gonna matter.

He is talking about getting 4.10's, but i doubt he will get them between now and then, i got that crank pulley in, i can tell a difference seat of pants, im already killing him outta the hole, well on the street holeshot with 225/60/15's, but thanx for the motivating confidence unit, im thinking about 4000 rpm launch, he claims he's never been to the track, if not, my experience alone should get me a good reaction time, and i will have him beat, hehe i want to see what i can do against some ls1's on these tires, next up im getting some lakewood drag struts.
Unit since your the only one who replied, i'll let you know how bad i kill him, if i can

With 10.5's you should be able to launch higher than that. The only thing I would worry about is grenading the T-5. Launch higher than 4000rpms for best results... if your T-5 holds together.

well unit, I ran twice, that guy didnt show, but i had a good time, first off those tires had like 8-10 psi (too low) in them, hehe i just freshend up on tracloc fluid a couple weeks ago, both wheels were goin hard in the waterbox, lmao, i wasnt used to them and bogged my motor, at around 4k i launched, but i still whooped an ls1t/a that was bone stock, i cut 2.1 and went 14.0, the t/a 13.8, i got the reaction and kept a lead.
After that i knew what to do, I iced the intake and went again against another mustang 96 15 sec one lol, this time 4800-5 I let loose and i hooked good, only got a low1.9 , and went 13.66 at 99.12 mph, i let my foot off the gas to shift to 3rd so i wouldnt tear the t-5 up , all in all i had a blast, i will never go back without stickies, cant wait to pay my welds off need 373 grs too. saw some stangs whoopin up on some vipers.
