Question 1st to 2nd Shift

I just put in a motorsport adjustable clutch cable in and now my 1st to 2nd shift as real hard. My clutch is new and I have a hurst shifter. And it seems like the cable is adjusted in kind of far to have a new clutch.

Sounds like your clutch needs to be adjusted. With the new adjustable cable you have just try making a small change and see if it improves.

Your clutch should start engaging when your pedal is about 1 to 1-1/2" from the floor.

When you adjust your clutch cable, it should have about 1/8"-1/4" of slack at the clutch release fork. It will tighten as the clutch wears out.
