Question Crane springs - aren't they supposed to come with dampeners?

I got my Crane springs in today which are setup for my F303 cam (.512 lift). Should these have had dampeners with them?

I got new Crane springs when I redid my heads. All that came in the box was the springs.

Yeah, I just found that out last night. Do I need these things? The guy at the head shop seemed to think I do but I am beginning to wonder if he knows anything at all about Ford stuff.

You shouldnt need spring dampners. I wouldnt worry about it, most heads dont use them, and the ones that do, those people arent even sure what the dampners are for.

Im sure if crane thought u needed them in your application, they would include them or mention them.

Well it turns out I got the wrong spring kit anyway. What a pain. Is there anything else that can go wrong?!!

Excuse the b!tching and moaning, but I'm not having the best of luck with this mod session. I think we may have this problem straightened out though. Bring on the next one
