Post Interactive Systems & Technologies

Anyone ever order from Interactive Systems & Technologies? They have a "Computer Tune-Up Kit" which includes all of the sensors & relays which are likely to go bad in 5.0's. The kit is $300. Any feedback would be apprecitated.

Thanks for the reply Rick 91GT. When you say the kit is almost totaly complete, what do you mean? What is not included in the kit?

"computer tune-up kit" for $300.00?!

Are you crazy?

Send me the $300.00, and when your car breaks, I'll drive to you, troubleshoot it for you and replace the ONE faulty component, with no extra charges, and you wont even have to go to the garage.

Mach 1 & DirtKing are pretty funny guys. Well I might be "crazy" but I need to replace my O2 sensors and that should run me about $100. Since they're included in the kit, that means I'll be paying $200 for the rest of the sensors, relays, etc. While some of you guys are lucky enough to have your cars as weekend or nice weather cars only, my '89GT is a daily driver. Having this kit will enable me to diagnose and correct any problem I may have with my car the same day, without having to wait until my local parts store or Ford dealer is able to get a part in stock. So, whatever, I've been called crazy before, actually to quote our local judge, "criminally insane", but I guess DirtKing, Mach 1, and myself have the love of Mustangs in common. Hey guys, send me your addresses, and I'll come visit you!!

Thanks for the offer, Mach 1. My reply to you and DirtKing was just to say that there are people who use this message board who don't have the knowledge, experience or resources that might be available to everyone else. I am a mechanical engineer, specializing in the electrical distribution industry. I am a Ford Mustang fanatic and this is my 5th. By no means am I an automotive expert, but I can hold my own with most people. That's why message boards such as this one, are an invaluable tool for us all. I've read some pretty lame questions on this board myself, but I would never insult or put down someone just because what seems obvious to you and me, maybe be giving them trouble.

I like the idea of the kit just so you know all your sensors are working properly and you have a fresh start. I am very mechanically inclined and do all my own work and this kit is very appealing to me, my car has over 180,000 miles on total, the new motor only has 3,000 miles, I know other sensor have got to be weak, it would make tuning a lot easier in the long run I believe.

I wasn't deriding your wanting the kit...you may indeed save yourself alot of grief. Mach1 was just trying to save you money. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
