I've read long enough. Time to join this great site. I'm still in the learning stage. I bought this 86 gt with a late model cobra 5 liter, stock heads--gt40s with factory 1.7 rockers, e303 cam (so say the one responsible), carb, msd, and headers. Valve springs may be heavy enough, checking this monday.
Question: rockers were machined at the roller's tip to avoid rubbing the valve spring retainer. (the ears--not the roller). The roller strikes the valve dead center. I just can't believe I have that much lift. This was a home grown job by someone. Should I go with 1.6 rockers and if so what springs are needed using that e303 cam. Thanks and open for advice. Senior citizens love their rockers--mine are made by Crane! |
