Default 1994 GT for 9800$

hey i need some help, i'm looking at buying a 94 GT 5-speed w/ 45,000 miles for 9800$, the car is very nice and in good condition. The guy bought it 6 months ago from a dealer and purchased a 4 year warranty so it has that for approximately 3 1/2 more years. He needs to sell it to pay off a loan and hes starting a business, he won't budge on the price. Is 9800$ ok price for this car? it has a clean carfax and everything, i need to decide today so feedback is much appreciated

Does it have any mods or any new parts? It sounds like a nice car with low miles and a waranty. If you feel its the "one" then get it. Even though it has a waranty you still can do some mods just to let you know.

Go on a road trip up here (Canada), you can pick that same car up a little cheeper $8000-$9000. Thats not including your dollar being worth more than 35% than ours! "Try "canadatrader.com"
Something to think about...

I would keep looking.

You can probably find one with higher mileage for about $5000 then replace the engine with a better one, tranny, and rebuild the rear end for less money.

You should be able to pick a 94 Cobra up for that.

I really hate to advise you not to buy it though. Clean ones are really hard to find.

$9800 is not a bad price, but it isn't a fantastic price. Above all, it depends on the condition of the car. If it is mint, clean, taken care of and pretty much stock...go for it. If it has defects and beat on etc...you might find something else or try talking the guy down.

And remember....ALWAYS RESERACH THE CAR'S HISTORY...find out who had it before him, who had it before him, demand all the service records and such. Last thing you want to do is get hosed.
