Default Subframe Connectors

Ok well while i had my car up off the ground when i installed the new Steeda clutch cable, quadrant, and firewall adjuster i noticed that the kinda flexes alot so I think that i want subframe connectors. Also i know someone whose life was basically saved by them when he wrapped his car around a pole.

Anyways I know i want the weld in kind but im not sure what bradn makes good ones. i have been looking at Maximum Motorsports and Steeda. I have always liked MM's products and now they seem to be getting more recognition as great products. My dad suggested seat supports on them which I believe MM has.

If anyone has any suggestions feel free

Later,
Nick

As far as safety goes it depends on the type and severity of the collision. You’re strengthening the passenger / patient compartment, but you’re also increasing the forces transferred to the people inside. Like I said, it depends.

They do make a significant difference in handling. I’ve dealt with MM before and highly recommend them.

I have Kenny Brown Super- subs that are zinc plated for improved corrosion resistance. Which ever way you go get or add seat braces as it helps spread the load and strengthens a weak spot in the Mustang floor.

After I did mine I found this site on the web. Just something to consider if you are or know a welder. If I had it to redo I would probably go for full length (firewall to rear frame) instead of the more common 48" ones as the install is the nearly the same and you get even more rigidity.
do-it-yourself subs (then click on "articles")

HPM, baby.

Zinc-coated, contoured to better fit the floorpan, with welded-on seat braces. $99.

Yea macs are what i have, they are cheap and do the job, i noticed a good difference, especially using sticky tires, but that just put more pressure on my stock suspension which is the next thing i need to upgrade, i wish i had gotten full lenght subs, but these are good enough, i didnt want seat support because i have reinforced floorpans.
