Default waterpump not clearing new motorsport crank dampener?

It seems like my new edlebrock waterpump is going to rub against the crank dampener(motorsport). Has anyone come across this before? Should I just get a stock waterpump? Thanks for any help.

Just take a die-grinder and relieve the waterpump a little at the point of interference. Its a fairly common problem.

i have a pro-race sfi spec. balancer on my car, it actually says in the directions that you might have to grind a little bit off the bottom bolt slot. so yes do as he said and just grind away a little, i had to grind all the way until the bolt was barely exposed on my car, so it might take a little, oh yeah just a little advice. do it with the timing cover off. its a lot easier
