Default Will any 2.5 inch tailpipes fit my flowmasters?

I need new tailpipes as my flowmaster ones are starting to rust out a little. Question is...do I have to replace them with Flowmaster pipes, or will other brands also work? Just wondering so that I may be able to shop around for better prices using a different brand. Flowmaster tailpipes with stainless tips are about $160 at Summit.

I don't see why any 2.5 inch tips wouldnt fit fine on the flows. Besides, wouldnt some nice stainless steel ones look nice?

Thumbs up Other brands will work fine

I'm using mandrel bent Dynomax tailpipes with 2 1/2 flowjunkers

My plan is to replace the mufflers with ultraflow muffs.

I got some long chrome tips welded on for about $75 from a custom exhaust shop. It looks better if the tips are long so they just look like pipes, and not tips. imo.

I'm pretty sure that flows are either made w/ 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" inlet/outlet. Either way, I'm sure you can MAKE it fit w/ some extra work.

Thanks for the replies. I have the chrome tips now and they look great, but I am sick of trying to keep them clean. I am just going to go for some stainless pieces this time around. Guess I can go out and start comparing prices now.
