Default wont start sometimes

All,

I have a 93 GT 5 spd. Every once in a while I have problems starting it. I'll turn the key and I hear a click do it a couple of more times and it starts. This happens once in a while but it is getting more frequent. ANy ideas. By the way, no major mods have been done to the engine, it has 72,000 miles.

If you do, DON'T USE COKE!!! Yes, it removes the battery crud, but when the motor heats up, it will crystalize the sugar in the coke and you'll have electrical connection issues again. If you want to use a simple home remedy, boil some water and disolve baking power into it. Put enough power to make the water pretty cloudy. Then pour the hot soultion on the battery terminals and the clamps. Wipe off with a rag, and your good to go. You can also use a battery cleaner brush.

Excellent tip, but it's baking SODA, not baking POWDER. Just want to make sure everyone knows before running off to the store.

Take care,

also check all your starter solenoid connectings. i had the exact same problem on my 66. i took the bolts off the solenoid and removed the wires and cleaned them and put them back together...no problems since.
