Unhappy Starter problems

I'm new here, and I'm having a hard time figuring out why my 90 LX don't want to start back up once I drive it somewhere. I replaced the starter last night and it does the same thing. I have long tube headers & starter heat sheild. Do you think I need a 140 amp alt. & high torque starter? How do I wire up a 93 starter? They are smaller and supposedly higher torque.

Check in some of the previous pages, because I had a post asking similar questions when my starter died this past Saturday.

I put in a regular replacement starter and so far(knock-on-wood) it works fine. Maybe its your starter solenoid thats bad. I replaced that last year even though a shorted out wire under my dash was the problem and not the solenoid.

Check all your grounds,I had the same problem at one time and found a bad ground that only acted up when the car was hot.I ran a ground from the neg battery terminal to my chasis as well as my block and that solved the trouble of no hot starts.

Thanks guys, I'll check the grounds tonight, but I think the problem lies with excessive heat assoiciated with the cam. I'll post a new topic to see if I get any answers.
