![]() I have an 88 GT. I have recently put a new clutch and clutch cable in, and just the other day the clutch pedal became harder to press in, and has begun making a bad rubbing sound. The noise is coming from underneath the dash, and I don't think it has anything to do with the actual clutch. I'm wondering if anybody else has had a similar problem, and if anybody can tell me what they think may be the problem?

![]() I am having the same problem right now, I just installed a dual friction.
I did not add any extra grease to the bearing retainer or throwout bearing as suggested by the throwout bearing manufacter since it comes pre-greased. I should have done so and probably replaced the crappy aluminum retainer with a steel one. I am going to try and grease it with the tranny in the car. I will post my sucess or failure (probably the latter).
