Big Block In A Fox...
well, since i should be getting money for my gt soon, i was thinking of buying a 4cyl mustang, and then dropping a big block in it.
what kind of parts do you need to complete this swap?(need to know every part) i was thinking about a 460 with a c-6 tranny, and a 9" rear end, but im not sure yet... Thanks

I would contact Holcomb Motorsports (they advertise in MM&FF) - they sell big block conversion parts for Fox bodies. Off the top of my head I think you need headers, motor mounts, hood, crossmember, oil pan... I'm sure there's probably more.

D&D automotive has all kinds of stuff for the swap(headers/mounts/pan/etc.) Jeg's has the pan/oil pump and hooker super comp. headers for a big block foxbody swap. I'm not sure what D&D's web address was, you may have to search around a little. There was another place that had some stuff too, I'll see if I can the rest of the sites.

Yeah, I was going to do the swap next summer but decided to put it off for a few years, I have the 1976 460 in my garage though, man that thing is massive! Good luck and let us know how it goes! There are tons of part avail for the swap like everyone said.

well, i may or may not do this, but it would be kinda neat.
if it doesnt happen, i will either get another 5.0 and turbocharge it, or an old 67-68 mustang gt and put a big block or a 351clevland in it. whatever i build, will be a drag mostly car, so it doesnt have to be streetable. another project id really like to do is buy a 32 and put a big block in that. this is all kinda up in the air right now. im just going to start pricing out my options
