![]() I have a '94 GT with GT-40 P heads and Motorsport 1 5/8 unequal length headers. On the drivers side, I seem to have a problem with the clearance of the spark and part of the header. This isnt a problem on all cylinders, just a couple. Anyway, my quesion is, I am having some trouble finding a set of plug wires that have a small enough boot so that it doesnt make contact with the header. These things like to melt like marshmellows! A friend of mine had some small 90 degree boots that worked but I dont have those wires anymore. I guess what I am looking for is a boot kit that I can slip on the ends of my existing wires, or if I can find a set of wires that already have these small boots then I will be happy. Any suggestions???

![]() I use Ford 9mm wires with the 45* boots with equal length headers and have no problems. The unequal length headers should pose less of a problem.

![]() I recommend against Jacobs wires for starters. The set I got had the bend-to-fit plug ends. What a joke. Anyway, I've got the 9mm FMS wires now. Can't vouche how well they hold up though because after a few Jacobs wires melted, I bought the 6" 1200 degree protective boots for the new set. I've got = length hookers and it's pretty tight in there. No problems so far. The Taylor 409 wires have a very small plug boot.

![]() Orginally, I had the motorsport 9 mm wires. A few boots melted. I will just have to look for a small diameter 90 degree boot.

![]() Your factory wires were routed from the top down with 135 degree boots. I know there's no way I could use 90 degree boots on mine. I just got a set of the 11mm Moroso wires but haven't had a chance to put them on yet.
check these sites for more info: http://www.taylorvertex.com/ http://moroso.com/catalog/categorybr...?CatCode=39000 http://www.mrgasket.com/accelmain.html good luck dude |

![]() I run the Taylor wires that have the 45 degree angle boot on them. They work great with my unequal length headers.
