Guys, you know about those nasty mildew on rubber trim around the window. It looks pretty ugly and how can I remove them without damaging rubber itself ? It only happened to Ford's car.

Thanks.

We bought a headliner piece from a junkyard as our 88GT didn't have one in it. the headliner was full of mildew and we were thinking we had to put a new headliner in. My son tried Simply Green on it as an experiment to see if he could clean it up. Low and behold this stuff worked wonders in getting the mildew off. I would try it on a small spot to see if there's any effects with using it on rubber.

The mildew removers you buy in the store have bleach in them - and they might change the color of the rubber - I'd stay away from them.
